Welch BPA Competes at 2024 State Leadership Conference

Seven members of the Welch chapter of Business Professionals of America (BPA) attended the State Leadership Conference in Tulsa March 6-8. Members who qualified to compete are: Trapper Johnson, Olivia Ashworth, Camy Etzel and ___. Students and their contests are: Allie - Advanced Desktop Publishing; Alexander - Management, Marketing & HR Concepts, Digital Communications & Design Concepts, Advanced Desktop Publishing; Trapper -Legal Office Procedures; Austin - Finance & Banking; Gage -Advanced Office Systems, Financial Math & Analysis, Administrative Support Concepts, Medical Terminology Concepts.

Students competed all day on Monday at the Tulsa Hyatt. On Tuesday, they heard from state officer candidates and the keynote speaker. Chapter president Trapper Johnson participated in the Parade of Presidents. Belinda Zacarias and Cheyenne Vaughn represented the Welch chapter as voting delegates and also served in the Courtesy Corp. The awards ceremony was held on Wednesday afternoon at the Cox Center.

National qualifier Trapper Johnson will represent Welch and Oklahoma at the national conference in Chicago, IL. BPA is sponsored by Gala Miller.

Welch BPA Competes at Nationals

Trapper Johnson attended the National Leadership Conference in Chicago April ___. He competed in Fundamentals of Database Applications. They also attended the general session, and awards ceremony, and participated in several tours including the George W. Bush Presidential Center, the JFK Sixth Floor Museum, and the ATT Stadium.

Students attending were Alexander Zacarias and Gage Miller. Students competed, attended sessions and BPA night, and toured Hollywood, Warner Bros Studios, and Griffith Observatory.
